This precious little one is sooooo beautiful, both in print and in person.  She worked hard all day as we shot some adorable images and Mommy and Daddy sat comfortably by until it was their turn to join in.  You may remember her Mama’s maternity session here.  Kimberly and Ronnie are such sweet first time parents and I really appreciated the trust that they put in me and my mucho fabuloso assistant, Wendy, when it came to posing Madison.

Let me remind you, please do not try posing babies like this without being properly trained.  Safety should be the absolute number one priority when handling precious newborns.

These last two have a little “Ancient Chinese Secret” magic added to them.  ;-)  Boy does that date me!  If you remember those commercials, thank goodness I’m not the only one!

Congratulations Ronnie and Kimberly!  She is absolutely perfect!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending the weekend in Nashville to attend to attend Kelley Ryden’s Newborn Posing Workshop hosted by the uber-fabulous Mandy Johnson at her gorgeous loft (um, can you say jealous??)!  ;-) I think you will agree with me when I say they both have amazing work!  It was a privilege to learn from Kelley & her sister, Tracy, who are 2 of the best in the business when it comes to newborns.  I am so excited to share some of my images from the weekend.

I will be putting my new knowledge to work this weekend when I photograph baby Madison!  Be sure to check back soon to see how they turned out!

Here you go!

Image #13, Caroline!!!!  Congratulations to her and her mom & dad!  I have your print ready to enjoy!

If these two beautiful babies look familiar, it’s because this is their second session with me.  They are enrolled in my Baby’s First Year program, so you’ll see them a few more times this year.  And let me just say, they can’t take a bad picture!  I just love twins!  I love that they have such unique personalities even when they look so much alike! It’s just totally fascinating!

Here are Jameson & Sutton, Part 2!

As an adoptive mom myself, I love doing these sessions.  If you are not familiar yet, I’ll explain.  Once a month, I will donate a session to a family who has adopted a child within the past 12 months.  This is Gary and Melanie’s family.  Gary, Melanie, Connor and Camryn welcomed Chloe into their family just about a year ago.  She has had to adjust to a new family, new culture and new language!  By God’s amazing grace, she is doing it very, very well!  This family is just awesome!  I really enjoyed our afternoon out shooting!

So, because I had so many that I liked, you better sit back with a cozy blanket and some hot cocoa or a cup o’ joe, ’cause this one’s going to take a while!  :)

Enjoy the pictures!

  • What an adorable family!! I love that you are devoting your time to adoptive families.

I would love to suggest my Sister’s family if you are in need of a family in the near future. My Sister and brother in law have a 7 year old little girl, and after years of trying to conceive baby #2 they decided to adopt. They recently adopted the most precious (okay, i might be a little biased) baby boy whom is now nearly 6 months old. Shortly after their sons birth/adoption they found out they were pregnant with baby #3 who is due in July. :) I can only imagine what a fun shoot it would be with a 7 year old, a toddler, and a newborn. haha! If your intrested and would like more information please email me!!
    Love your photos!

I actually met up with James and Meredith just before I left for the holidays, but I am just now getting around to posting them here.  Of course, they’ve been on my Facebook group page (feel free to join if you are on FB), but I’ve been behind on blogging.  This couple is so in love, you can’t help but smile and feel good when you see them interact.  But, they’re also just fun to be with too!  It is really just heartwarming to see such young love.

Let me show you…

My most favorite image of the two of them…

Kim and Ronnie are anxiously awaiting the birth of their new daughter.  While they are waiting, we took the time to take some maternity portraits to celebrate how absolutely beautiful Kim is.  I can’t wait to photograph their daughter, Madison.  I’m sure she will be just as adorable as her mommy and daddy.

I have been off of the internet (not by choice, but because an animal chewed through our cable line) for a week. I will be getting back to posting more, but thought this would be fun. If you haven’t seen this on Facebook yet, I’m sure you will. Here is your chance to ask me anything!

And, don’t forget to vote for your favorite image of 2009 just below this post!
