I have mentioned earlier that I would be contributing some of my profits from print sales in September and October back to the MDA. So, here’s the deal- any sessions that take place in September and October are eligible. I will donate 15% of my profit from print sales from those sessions (not including session fees or press printed items, which includes albums and cards). The MDA is having it’s big telethon this weekend, so be sure to check out their auction online. Let’s get behind this great organization and send them some big $$! ![]()
Be sure to catch Gavin this weekend, as he is the Junior Ambassador for our local MDA and will be on the telethon this weekend on Sunday evening, and I believe Monday morning as well. I will try and update this with more specific details when I get them. I can’t wait to see this great kid sharing his fantastic personality on TV! ![]()
Also, I am booking about 2 weeks out at this point, so please be sure to call early for your appointment. Session times are filling up fast already for October, so if you’re waiting for fall colors, you will want to call soon and get on my calendar. Also, if you are thinking about Christmas cards, check back soon, as I will be making a special announcement about special Christmas card sessions!
month: August 2007
Some of you may remember that I photographed Jaxon’s birth. Well, he is 6 months old now and such a handsome boy! We went downtown so that we could get at least one shot in front of the Forum, as his daddy is the announcer for the Grizzlies. I must give a huge thank you to my oldest daughter, Olivia, who came along to assist me and did a fabulous job! She is so great with babies and really enjoyed being a part of mommy’s work. ![]()
So, here you go…on to the images!

Cracking up at Olivia’s silliness~

Hanging out with his beautiful mommy~

My favorite of the day…

And finally, a little experiment with a red door at a church downtown…

I will be blogging by the end of the week with more details about my fundraiser for the MDA, so check back again this weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
On Wednesday I had the privilege of photographing Gavin for the local Muscular Dystrophy Association. He is quite a kid and kept me cracking up! Gavin’s family lives on a farm in Arkansas and thank goodness his mom is not the kind of girl who is afraid of little creatures! While I was there we played with the puppy, Louie, a little frog from outside a fish and some crawfish! I even kissed the fish! Ha Ha! What I won’t do to get a kid to smile, eh? Here are a few of my favorites from the morning…

And here is a shot for fun!

I will post again on this subject later, but just want to take the time to mention that I will be donating 15% of all of my print sales during the months of September and October to the MDA. Call early for your fall portrait appointments and help me help the MDA!
While at home in California, we were able to spend an evening with some of our dearest friends, Jeromye and Carol, along with their two kiddos, Zach & Abby. We had a wonderful time, as always, and I was able to take some quick family photos for them. Carol is a great photographer, herself, but is always behind the camera, so I was happy to help include her! :) Thanks for the privelege, guys! We love you! Here are my favorites~

I like this next shot, but couldn’t decide on which way I liked it better, so you get to see both versions!

And for a little girl who was not into having her picture made that day, I think we did alright! Love this one~

I had the pleasure of shooting Wyatt’s mom’s maternity pictures and have been awaiting our first meeting. That meeting came today, and boy, is he sweet! At 4 weeks old, this little man is such a trooper! We worked for 2 1/2 hours and had a few wardrobe changes, plus 2 locations! We all got hot & sweaty for the last 2 shots of the day as we fought off mosquitoes and 101 degree temps! Whew! It was worth it though! So, without further ado, here are my favorites~

It was hard to pick a favorite, but this may very well be my most favorite shot of the day:

I love the little dreamy grin on Wyatt’s face here~

To Chad and Kelly- Congratulations again! He is beautiful and I look forward to seeing him grow this year and having the privelage of documenting it!
