month: October 2007

I have just finished an online guide to help inspire you, as well as show you my basic print prices. You may view it here. It has many different ideas for how to place your finished images in your home. I will be printing hard copies of these in the next few weeks as well, so that clients can take a look at one at the consultation meeting.

Another new thing around here is a 10% discount for pre-payment of your order. To explain it on a blog might be confusing or leave room for misunderstanding the policy, so please call me for details! It will save you money, which is always a good thing! ;) The majority of my clients end up spending more than they expected once they see their images- so I think this is a great way to help you out! I’ll be explaining how this works at your future consultation meetings, but feel free to call me before then!

Thank you to Mike for emailing me today to let me know that my website wasn’t working properly! Apparently I accidentally deleted a few important files in my FTP when deleting a viewing gallery. Not good! Sometimes I think I am a complete nincompoop when it comes to technology!  :)  Well, I am happy to say that it is back up and running, so if you have tried to visit it in the past few days and couldn’t, please feel free to take another look! I have learned an excellent lesson today! Be extra careful to double check what you are about to delete before you hit the “okay to delete” button. ;)
And since I am trying not to have blog entries without showing you more pictures… Here are a few more from my family session from this past weekend~

So I’m sure that you all remember Gavin from back in August! Well, this weekend it was the whole family’s turn! It was a bright sunny day, without a cloud in the sky, but I think we still managed to get some fun stuff! (I know, it seems like that should be perfect conditions for photographs, but other than pitch black darkness, it’s actually the worst!) This is a delightful family with 3 very wonderful boys! They sure care a lot about each other and I think that shows through in their images! So here’s your teaser!

The whole group~

mom & dad canoodling~

the boys~

and of course, we can’t leave out a shot of Louie!

Thanks, guys! I had a great time again! You are such a generous and sweet family- what a pleasure to be around!

I just wanted to let you know that I am now booked for Sunday, November 4th.  I still have some availability for Saturday, but you will need to call me soon if you are interested in getting in on a time for that day.  (428.3026 in case you need the number.)   It should be a fun day and I am hoping for some fine fall weather!  Fun hats & coats will make for some great shots for your cards, especially for the little ones!  Thank you to all of you who have already called and gotten in on my calendar already!

I also wanted to post a few images from my son’s fall portrait session from this past week to show you how great a downtown, urban shoot can be for kids!  Here are a few of my favorites~

Saturday morning was a first for me.  I photographed two adult sisters for their parents’ Christmas gift.  Meg & Britt are two fun and lively young women, so we had a good time!  Britt goes to school at Rhodes, so we decided to shoot there and use the beautiful campus as our backdrop.  Here are the results~

and a little composite…

I know you’ll agree when you see this awesome family! ;) The Nixes are some friends of ours and we have been trying to do this photo shoot for a few months now. Today, it finally happened after a few re-schedulings. Their girls have the most amazing eyes you will ever see in person! We had a great time and I would post even more, but I am exhausted so you just get the normal teaser! Ha Ha! :)
A little fun…

the whole fam…

don’t we all wish we had a picture like this with our siblings?

sweet girl #1…

trying hard not to smile…

okay, you can smile then…

super model in training (aka, sweet sister #2)…

and because I couldn’t resist this one in color too…

There was so much more. We’ll talk tomorrow, I’m sure of it! ;)

Okay, so he turned one this summer, but his mom & I have had a difficult time with scheduling. So she was on vacation this week and we finally were able to do his one-year portrait session. You will recognize him from one of the images above and notice that he hasn’t gotten any less photogenic!  ;)  We went out to Shelby Farms and had a great time for a quick one-hour mini-session! He was in a great mood and so there was a lot to choose from! Enjoy!

And for those of you who know this family, you will certainly see a little bit of Daddy in this one~

And if this isn’t Max, I don’t know what is~
