I promised that I would post a few more from Olivia’s session, so here they are~

Be sure to check back in tomorrow for a big announcement!!!

I have been trying my best to fit all three of my kids into my shooting schedule this fall and it’s been tough. Earlier this week, I planned for today to be with my oldest daughter, Olivia. Wouldn’t you know it, it was 42 degrees! I must say though, she was all for it and quite the trooper! She really stuck it out with me even though the wind was blowing pretty much the whole time too! I must also give props to Jack, my son, for hanging with us and being in charge of the reflector. He made some beautiful shade a few times, and I really appreciated it!

So, after much anticipation by her grandparents, here they are…

And, don’t you wish you had these eyelashes????

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend!

If you’ve tried to email me in the past 4 or 5 days and received a message saying that my email box was full, please re-send it.  Apparently, I had a limit on how much email I could receive in a year and it didn’t matter that I had recently cleaned out my inbox on my server.  I had to up the amount to start receiving emails again.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  You learn something new everyday and this was definitely a new one for me.   Thanks, everyone!

I’m not sure how I manage to do it, but I really get the sweetest families for clients! Really, I do! And this one was no exception! This is Sam, Jennifer, Miles and Emelia. They had to endure (wink, wink) two mini-sessions with me as I had to learn an important lesson on understanding how to read the almanac. You see, when it says that sundown is going to be at 6:03 pm, that doesn’t mean that the sun hits the horizon then and you still have about 30 minutes of daylight afterwards. Oh no, this means that you can pretty much expect it to be nearly pitch dark at that time.

All that to say, that we got in about 20 minutes before it got dark on Sunday and we had to get together again on Tuesday to finish their mini-shoot. Oh well! You learn something new every day! :) I had quite a few to choose from, but here are some of my favorites (you will notice that I am really liking the black & white this week.) ;)

And it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t have one fun color shot!

Oh yeah, and thanks again to one of my favorite assistants, Olivia- my almost 8 year old, for helping me out on Sunday. She was able to help get this great smile from Miles in the last shot! It is so fun having her interested in what I do and wanting to learn. Thanks Jennifer & Sam for being so flexible! You are great to work with!

Oh yeah!  I also wanted to add that Jennifer makes the most adorable pillow case dresses.   Her business is called Sweet Birdie Designs.  You should check them out if you have a little girl that loves dresses.  I’m hoping to order a few for Sophie to use as tops, actually.  They look super cute with long sleeve T’s under them just like you see on Emelia above! :)

It was recently brought to my attention that the link for the Inspire Guide was no longer working.  It is up and running again!  Take a look and be inspired!  :)
