month: December 2008

As I prepare for 2009, I thought it would be good to come and wish you all a wonderful New Year! I enjoyed working with all of my 2008 clients and can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2009! There will be some changes and I look forward to sharing those with you! I will be posting later this week a special surprise for all of my 2008 clients, so check back later to find out what it is!

For now, I leave you with some quick portraits I did of my kids yesterday in their new Christmas outfits that their Nana sent to them! We had to trek through some mud for a few shots, but it was worth it! I am so thankful for my family and am blessed by them every day.

Kiralisa Photography is now closed for the holidays.  I will reopen on January 2nd.   I hope you all have safe and joyous holidays.

Yesterday we made the trek to the doctor’s office with all the kids in tow to see the ultrasound!  Nearly everyone we know thought we would be having a boy, so we were in for a bit of a surprise!  We’ll be having a girl in April!

Here she is, looking very much like Sophie at this point.

And a cute shot of her foot…

Have a Merry Christmas!

My holiday shooting schedule has finally come to an end. The last of the 2008 prints will be delivered next week before Christmas. I leave on Friday afternoon to go help a friend shoot a wedding in Gatlinburg and then will be closing shop for 10 days to rest and spend time with my family. So, just to let you know, I will not be taking phone calls or answering email from December 23rd-January 1st.

I am looking forward to starting out 2009 with a bang! I have a few senior sessions coming up, have a surprise for all of my 2008 clients and will be sharing some changes that will be happening after the New Year.

I hope you all have an incredibly blessed Christmas and a safe New Year!

Enjoy!

Happy December!  It’s hard to believe that we are almost through the holiday season already!  This is a reminder to all of you who have had sessions this year that Christmas orders must be placed by this Wednesday, December 10th.  I will accept rush orders December 11th-16th.  These rush orders will incur a 50% surcharge to get them here before Christmas.

Also, Kiralisa Photography will be closed December 23rd-January 1st.  I will start back to work on January 2nd, so please know that I will not be answering emails, phone calls or taking orders or sessions during that time.

It is a rare day when I shoot a session and blog it in the same day.  But, today I had a little time where my kids left me alone in the afternoon and loved these so much that I couldn’t hold them back!  Parker is one of my Baby’s First Year clients and this is his second of 3 sessions.  It was cold outside, but we made the trek down to Cedar Hill Farm in Hernando, MS for this very rural session.  These are great during the winter months and the farm was beautiful!  I highly recommend going there in the Fall, as it looks like they have more fun things than you could possibly imagine to do!  So, back to Parker!  He was fantastic!  Take a look!

Parker let us know when it was time to go and he had had enough!  I love crying baby pictures- weird, I know!  But just look at how sweet he is!

On Friday afternoon (yes, the day after Thanksgiving), instead of being out holiday shopping, I was with the Weaks family.  It was a dreary day, but we were glad it wasn’t raining on us!  We went downtown for an urban shoot and here are some of the results~

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!  Check back tomorrow- I will be putting up holiday deadline reminders for print orders!  :-)
