month: January 2009

I have recently found Stumble Upon, which some of you may already know about. It is a site to help rate and promote websites and blogs on the internet. So, if you wouldn’t mind, take a minute and go here to write a quick review for me. The more reviews I can get, the better.

I hope you all have a safe week in this crazy weather! Oh, and one more thing before I forget, spots for the February 25th mini sessions are just about gone. I have a slot at 2:00 and another at 2:45 for that day open. February 11th and March 4th still have space, so if you are thinking of booking a mini-session, call soon before it’s too late!

I have made arrangements with another photographer here in the area to use his studio space to ensure that we have some mini-sessions that weather cannot effect!  Plus, it gives us the opportunity to try out some new things in studio!  I have chosen February 11th, 25th and March 4th to take appointments.  These will be on a first come first serve basis, so call soon to get the time that works best for you.  I will allow for some outdoor sessions on other days, but only on weekdays.  These sessions will not be available on Saturdays.  Here is the flier I just sent out, if you didn’t receive it or couldn’t read it, and remember that you can always find more information on the official site, www.sandypucmodels.com.  Submissions have already started going in and I know we have much cuter kids in Memphis, so let’s take some fabulous images, raise some money for a great organization and win $10000 in prizes for you and your child!!!!!

Ashton and I had been planning her session for a while. We were excited to get to work in December and showed up to our location with 26 degree weather!!!! Needless to say, we were not able to finish our planned shoot, but worked for about an hour and a half before needing to call it a day. We met again this month on a slightly warmer day (36 degrees) to finish up the last hour. Ashton is such a trooper! She really wanted to wear some cute outfits and not have to bundle up in lots of coats, so she really had to put on her “model” face and suffer through the cold!

Here are some favorites!

I am making headway this week on getting this site fully functional.  As you can tell, I have imported all of my old blog entries, so you won’t have to navigate to the old blog anymore.  And last night I loaded up all of the galleries under portfolio!  Yippee!  I hope you enjoy browsing through them!  This weekend I hope to have a page with pricing information and a little more information on session information.

Please take advantage of the new subscribe tool at the top of the page.  You will receive an email letting you know when I have posted a new entry here by entering your email address there!  And don’t forget, I love to hear your feedback, so please leave a comment and let me know what you think of the new site!!!!

Tomorrow I will be posting a few new images from a recent senior session and hope to also post some information on some upcoming mini-sessions for the NILMDTS fundraiser.  Have a great Thursday!

As you many of you read on my old blog, I made the decision to combine my website and blog into one site. So, here it is, but I have a lot of work to do to get it fully functioning. I am hoping to have my galleries up and ready to go for you all by the end of the weekend. I hope you enjoy the changes you find. In the meantime, my old blog is still up and running, so please be sure to go there to find my most recent work, as well as pricing and other information you might need. I will be working to see if I can get all of those blog posts moved over to this site, but that is probably not going to happen until next week. So, please bookmark this site, or feel free to subscribe and be ready for some fun changes!!!!

I spoke before about some changes that would be coming.  One of the biggest and most exciting is that I will be combining my website and blog into a new blogsite that will all live at kiralisa.com.  I cannot wait to have it ready for you!  This blog will remain until I am able to move all of these posts over to the new blog.  I will post an update as soon as the site is ready!  In the meantime, I wanted to share my favorite storyboard that I created for a client recently that I loved so much, I bought one for the studio too!

Here’s Parker!

I met with Crystal and her dad a few weeks ago to plan her session and was so excited to find her to be smart, funny, silly, yet serious and willing to shoot in a cemetery!  I know, it’s not for everyone, but her dad works in a mortuary and she’s very interested in becoming a medical examiner, so they loved the idea!   We started out at the historical Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis.  It’s quite an incredible place and even has tours you can take!

Anyhow, Crystal really rocked her session and gave me lots of variety, including pulling out a retro 80’s outfit!  How fun is that???  We had a great time and she is just a delight!  Now, here are a quick few favorites!

Isn’t she just beautiful?  Thanks, Crystal, for being so much fun to work with!

Correction: Due to the already discounted program prices, Senior and Baby’s First Year clients will receive a 5% discount on re-prints and canvases.
