This is a little something different for me. Our good friend Derrick is an incredible saxophonist and I had the privilege of photographing him and his group, Eclection, this past week. I thought I would try a little bit of painting with light, an older technique that is seeing more use these days. We had a great time and got some great shots.

This 4-year old is absolutely strikingly beautiful! I am in love with her images and know you will be too! After many, many prior attempts, Sophie finally let me put her hair into two adorable braids. She looked so cute that I couldn’t help but take a few impromptu shots. She was ready for her close-up and was happy to oblige! Hurray! 
It’s hard to believe that our youngest will be 3 in May and won’t be our youngest anymore. She is really looking forward to being a big sister!
I love this family! I have photographed their mom, Tanya, for her first maternity session, Miles’ newborn session and his one-year session this past fall. Now, Tanya, Rodrick & Miles have welcomed Carter to the family. He was 5 days old when I photographed him last week and just a precious little one! I am so happy for you all!
