month: April 2009

Our newest family member was born almost 2 weeks ago on April 14, 2009 at 9:35 pm.  We will be calling her Sasha, which is the Russian nickname for Alexandra.  She was 8lbs 14oz and was 20.5 inches long.  I started having contractions that afternoon and called my doctor when we hit 3 hours of regular contractions.  I was not allowed to go into full labor, as my scar from my previous c-section was dangerously thin and threatening to rupture.  So, off we went to the hospital!  We arrived at 8:20.  I was taken to the OR at 9:10 and Sasha made her official arrival just 25 minutes later!  She has been wonderfully sweet and just the mellow baby I was praying for.

After having a c-section, I have not had the energy to do a full newborn session with her, which was a shame, but I did get in a few shots last week when she was just 6 days old.  I think she is just beautiful!  ;-)

Here are a few images from that day of our beautiful little girl…

If you have been wondering why things have been so quiet, it is because Alexandra Vivienne, “Sasha,” made her arrival a little early last week on Tuesday evening.  She weighed in at 7 lbs 14.5 oz and was 20.5 inches long (not bad considering she was born at 37.5 weeks!).

I will be posting pictures soon, but wanted to let you know that I am still running the April special for 1/2 off of June specials for those who contact me and pay for their June sessions this month!  It may take me a day or two to respond, but I am taking email!  :-)

As many of you already know, I am due to have our 4th child at the end of this month.  I have already wrapped up my last photo shoot before she is born, but am still meeting with clients and booking sessions for June when I return to work.  I have decided to help out in this struggling economy and give you my own economic stimulus special!  So, check out the details below and be sure to tell all of your friends!  They will not want to miss out on this opportunity!
