Last week I had 2 rockin’ senior sessions.  Up first was Andrea!  She is smart, kind and loves to read!  She always has a book in her purse!  Andrea also babysits my kids and they absolutely love her!  So it was such a privilege when she asked me to do her senior portraits.  We battled some serious heat, but in the end, we both ended up fully dressed in my pool- Andrea in one of her prom dresses, and me in my shorts and t-shirt.  We wanted to try something different, not knowing if it would work or not.  In the end, we had a great time and took some beautiful portraits.

Here is the pool shot we tried.  Some will like it some won’t, but we wanted to stretch the envelope a bit.

And the last shot of the day was just for fun.  Andrea has some mad backflip skills on the diving board and proved that she could even do it in a soaking wet prom dress!

Last week I went with Chase, Harriet and Andrew downtown to brave the heat for their family portrait session.  We had a great time and I’ve had a hard time editing these down.  I’m trying to keep up with blogging, so I won’t say much other than they were great to work with and it was a privilege to capture the spirit of their family.  They love being with each other and it shows in the love that’s communicated in their images.

A few weeks ago I went to photograph the baby of some family friends.  The problem was, I only had about an hour to an hour and a half to do it.  For those of you who know how long it takes to photograph a newborn, you know this wasn’t near enough time.  I usually spend 3-4 hours with a new little one, but I was doing this one just because I wanted to, so I had to squeeze her in.  Little Joy is just as her name says, a joy.  But, because of feeding and the time it took to get her settled afterward, we only got a few shots in.  Here is my favorite so far…

And a sweet smiling one…

I met up with Erin not too long ago so that we could get her some fresh headshots before she headed out to LA to give her acting bug a try!  Having grown up there, I know how tough it is to get into the business and how important great headshots are!  So we spent some time together and got some really beautiful shots!  It certainly doesn’t hurt that she is absolutely gorgeous, but I hope you are also able to see how beautful she is on the inside just by looking at these!  Erin’s wonderful personality just glows and I think her kind heart shines through!

Good luck, Erin!  I can’t wait to see you on the big screen!

I am dreadfully behind on blogging right now, so you should see quite a bit coming up in the next several days.  A little while back I had the privilege of photographing a beautifully pregnant woman named Carmen!  She is so delightful and so much fun to work with!  You’ll see it instantly in her images!  She rocked it out with her wonderful husband out at Shelby Farms on a gorgeous evening!

I know these two are going to have the most beautiful little boy soon and I can’t wait to photograph him before I head out to California.  Here are a few from her day…

How cute will he be?

And if you’re wondering where she got the fabulous dress, she bought it at Haute Mama in Germantown!  Doesn’t she look just fabulous????  :-)

I am finally getting around to producing a newsletter!  I figured it would be a great way to communicate with past, present and future clients so that none of you miss out on the goings on with Kiralisa Photography.  If I already have your email address, consider yourself included!  If you’re not sure, or you know for absolute certain that I don’t have it, send it to me and I’ll put you on the list!

There will be exclusive offers to those on the list, so be sure and sign up!  I’ll be sending the first one out by the end of this week!

And, because I don’t like writing something here and not including a picture…Here is another sweet shot of little miss Hadley!
