These two little sweet peas are absolutely adorable and just precious!  I really love photographing little babies.  I love everything about them and don’t mind the fact that newborn sessions take 3-4 hours one bit.  Jameson and Sutton decided on my first time to their home that they would take turns sleeping and cooperating.  ;-)

When one was asleep, the other was sleeping.  I decided to come back and give it another go a few days later and it definitely paid off!  Here are the a few of my favorites!

Aren’t they just perfect and precious??  If I didn’t already have 4 kids, it’d make me want to have twins!  ;-)

So how precious is it to have twins with a boy and a girl? Once you see Tenley and Knox, you’ll believe it’s the most precious thing ever! These two were so sweet- they didn’t even relieve themselves on any of my stuff! LOL! ;-) They also have two of the most wonderful parents who, as tired as they were, just love them to pieces! So adorable!
Congratulations, Cassy and Jason! They are just beautiful!

Sweetness!

While I’ve been on maternity leave, my daughter, Sophie, turned 3. After just having had another baby, it seemed near impossible to find time to photograph her. But, today we managed to get it done. And, although I was nearly eaten alive by mosquitoes, I’d say it was worth it. I can’t believe she’s growing up so fast!
Here’s my sweet Sophie playing with one of her favorite things…umbrellas!

And hamming it up for the camera!

Before I went on maternity leave, I photographed one of my baby’s first year kids. This is Evan’s second session and he was very interested in his mommy’s tambourine. He’s a real sweet heart and it shows in his images.

Our newest family member was born almost 2 weeks ago on April 14, 2009 at 9:35 pm.  We will be calling her Sasha, which is the Russian nickname for Alexandra.  She was 8lbs 14oz and was 20.5 inches long.  I started having contractions that afternoon and called my doctor when we hit 3 hours of regular contractions.  I was not allowed to go into full labor, as my scar from my previous c-section was dangerously thin and threatening to rupture.  So, off we went to the hospital!  We arrived at 8:20.  I was taken to the OR at 9:10 and Sasha made her official arrival just 25 minutes later!  She has been wonderfully sweet and just the mellow baby I was praying for.

After having a c-section, I have not had the energy to do a full newborn session with her, which was a shame, but I did get in a few shots last week when she was just 6 days old.  I think she is just beautiful!  ;-)

Here are a few images from that day of our beautiful little girl…

If you have been wondering why things have been so quiet, it is because Alexandra Vivienne, “Sasha,” made her arrival a little early last week on Tuesday evening.  She weighed in at 7 lbs 14.5 oz and was 20.5 inches long (not bad considering she was born at 37.5 weeks!).

I will be posting pictures soon, but wanted to let you know that I am still running the April special for 1/2 off of June specials for those who contact me and pay for their June sessions this month!  It may take me a day or two to respond, but I am taking email!  :-)

After many, many prior attempts, Sophie finally let me put her hair into two adorable braids.  She looked so cute that I couldn’t help but take a few impromptu shots.  She was ready for her close-up and was happy to oblige!  Hurray!  :-)

It’s hard to believe that our youngest will be 3 in May and won’t be our youngest anymore.  She is really looking forward to being a big sister!

As I prepare for 2009, I thought it would be good to come and wish you all a wonderful New Year! I enjoyed working with all of my 2008 clients and can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2009! There will be some changes and I look forward to sharing those with you! I will be posting later this week a special surprise for all of my 2008 clients, so check back later to find out what it is!

For now, I leave you with some quick portraits I did of my kids yesterday in their new Christmas outfits that their Nana sent to them! We had to trek through some mud for a few shots, but it was worth it! I am so thankful for my family and am blessed by them every day.

I am now officially on vacation and will not be taking phone calls or answering emails until July 14th.  I look forward to my July sessions and have space for a few more when I return.  If you were thinking of doing a session this month, please email me at lisa@kiralisa.com and I will get you on the calendar as soon as I return!

Have a great 4th of July!
