A few weeks ago, I went out with Zach and his entourage (
) to downtown Memphis for his senior session. Zach is wicked smart with an acerbic wit, so we had a good time! He plays basketball too, so we had to make sure and get that in as well. I think his images turned out so great and there are definitely a few in here that just make me giddy!!!!
Wanna see? Cool, ’cause here they are!

Jake is an awesome senior from Briarcrest High School. He is smart, wicked funny and athletic- I’m sure all the girls love him, but sorry girls, he’s got a girlfriend!
We had such a blast and shot in the back alleys of Collierville Town Square before heading out to the Mike Rose Soccer Complex.
So on to the images~

I was playing around with this image today and thought I’d give a little sneak peek for Jake and his parents. There are lots of great shots from this session and it was hard to edit down. I can’t wait to show you all of them soon!
I’ll be blogging more later when they’re all done too, but here is the one I was playing with today!
Version 1:

And version 2:

Oh to be young and 17! Taylor is beautiful, smart, athletic, creative…Basically, she’s fabulous! I really clicked with her and with her parents- maybe because we’re all from So Cal? ;-) Well, no matter the reason, Taylor rocked her session out!!! Even though we nearly were eaten alive by mosquitoes and had a run in with the po-po. No worries, it was innocent enough. You’ll have to call one of us to get the story if you haven’t heard it already! LOL!
Here are a few of our favorites!

Taylor brought along her best friend, Lauren, for some fun!

And we couldn’t resist the urge to bring in a little California love…

I’ve made this cool video for Andrea’s senior session. Thought I would share!
One look at this family and you know right away how much they love each other. Tammi and Rodney could not be any more proud of Cooper and you can see it in an instant. So, of course, that made my job of photographing them all the more easy! :-) I had such a great time with them as we worked the back alleys of Collierville Town Square and could look at their pictures all day.
Cooper is a senior at Germantown, so we also made sure to get some of just him. He is such a great guy and, from what I hear, a very talented actor. I look forward to going to see him perform this year in one of their awesome plays.

Elizabeth is a senior from St. Benedict High School and she rocked out this session with her cool style and fun attitude! She is smart, funny and easy to have a great time with, so we had a lot of fun at her shoot! I think you will agree that her confidence just shines through and makes these images great!
Here are some of my favorites from the day…

June was a busy month and I am still playing catch up with blogging. I have 2 family sessions and another senior still to blog after this!
Liz is bright, energetic and a natural model. I don’t think I helped her with posing but on a few shots! I was so excited, too, when she told me that she rides horses and wanted to include them in her session. I had been wanting to shoot a senior with horses for quite some time! Liz gave me a wide range of environments and clothing styles, so this was certainly a fun session for both of us!
Here are a few favorites, although I could have put just about her entire session up here! I did decide to put up multiple versions of a few though so that you could see how playing artistically with an image can really change the mood of it.

One of my absolute favorite images of the day~

And how beautiful is this???

Last week I had 2 rockin’ senior sessions. Up first was Andrea! She is smart, kind and loves to read! She always has a book in her purse! Andrea also babysits my kids and they absolutely love her! So it was such a privilege when she asked me to do her senior portraits. We battled some serious heat, but in the end, we both ended up fully dressed in my pool- Andrea in one of her prom dresses, and me in my shorts and t-shirt. We wanted to try something different, not knowing if it would work or not. In the end, we had a great time and took some beautiful portraits.

Here is the pool shot we tried. Some will like it some won’t, but we wanted to stretch the envelope a bit.

And the last shot of the day was just for fun. Andrea has some mad backflip skills on the diving board and proved that she could even do it in a soaking wet prom dress!
