I have been off of the internet (not by choice, but because an animal chewed through our cable line) for a week. I will be getting back to posting more, but thought this would be fun. If you haven’t seen this on Facebook yet, I’m sure you will. Here is your chance to ask me anything!

And, don’t forget to vote for your favorite image of 2009 just below this post!

Only 9 more days to nominate someone you know that deserves a free session + a disc of their images ($1225 value) for the Giving is Awesome event! Don’t forget, if your nominee wins, you win too! You’ll receive a session and a complimentary 8×10!

Reminder of the details:
The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside in Tennessee, Mississippi or Arkansas within 40 miles of my Germantown home. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story : lisa@kiralisa.com.

The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!

Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

With love,

Lisa

Now go out and

You may have already seen this, but I thought it would be good to post if you haven’t already.  Social networking is here to stay and is already in our verbage.  Check it out.  There are some very interesting statistics in here.

For the life of me tonight, I can’t figure out how to embed this into my page, so here is the link until I figure it out.

Oh yeah, and feel free to follow me on

Yesterday we made the trek to the doctor’s office with all the kids in tow to see the ultrasound!  Nearly everyone we know thought we would be having a boy, so we were in for a bit of a surprise!  We’ll be having a girl in April!

Here she is, looking very much like Sophie at this point.

And a cute shot of her foot…

Have a Merry Christmas!

Vote for whomever you feel will be the better President.  Whichever that is, just get out and VOTE today if you haven’t already!  :-)

I have had a few calls and emails regarding a second date for the holiday card mini-sessions due to conflicts in scheduling.  I am considering opening up some times on October 25th if there is enough interest.  If you are one of those who would love to have a mini-session but your family wasn’t available on the 11th, please email me at lisa@kiralisa.com and let me know.  I will open the date up when I have at least 4 families.

Also, I will be posting the full gallery of card samples later this week, so be sure to check back here for the link!

Then come out to the Germantown Festival and check out the frames from Simply Squared.  Many of them will feature my images from this past year, so you may see yourself or your loved one!  And, I must say, man they look good!!!!  It’s a good time for the whole family, so come and see us and spend a few hours having fun with the kids!

See you there!

On Saturday morning I rose to wonderfully cool weather and an equally cool family to photograph. We met downtown for a great session. Michelle asked me for less traditional (which you know I am happy to do!) and so we started with a little version of Abbey Road…

There were a few other cool shots of the whole family together, but I’m saving those for you to see in my office on the big screen! All I can say is I have a vision and I can’t wait to share it with you. ;-)
We wanted to get individual shots of each of the kids- they were so great to work with! I really enjoyed it and hope they didn’t mind too much either (especially the boys, lol!).

Here they are…

Patrick (No need to adjust your screen, I played with this one a bit. If it’s not your cup of tea, no worries, there is a fun color version too!)

Scott

And Reagan started out a little shy…

But, I think she warmed up to me a bit. ;-)

I love this shot of Glen and his boys…

and Michelle getting some lovin’ from Reagan…

Thank you so much, Michelle, & Glen for giving me so much creative freedom on this session! I enjoyed working with you all so much and look forward to showing them all to you soon!

As I have continued to have problems with my flash editor for my website, I have not been able to post the new pricing structure.  So, instead of being frustrated, I have decided to create a pricing page here.  You can find it by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking on the link for pricing.  As always, please feel free to call or email me with any questions you may have!

Also, I am fully booked for the rest of July and have already started booking sessions for August.  I have a feeling that Fall sessions will book up quickly.  If you are thinking of photographs of the family or kids for holiday gifts, start planning now.  I will book up early.

Have a great weekend!  In the morning, I will blog from my awesome senior session I had tonight.  :)

Today, I am officially back from vacation and it is full steam ahead again! New pricing for portraits (seniors excluded) are now in effect, but I am having problems with editing my website so it’ll be another day or two before I get the changes up on my website. You will be interested to see that there are some new things that will be on tap.

I had a great time on vacation in Colorado and we survived driving there and back with 3 kids, one of which is a potty training 2-year old. :) I’ll post pictures later in the week, but for now I’ve got to get ready to head to another meeting!

Thanks for being patient with the website updates! As soon as I hear from my web company that it’s able to be edited, I will update and post here.

Ta Ta!
